Graduation Blues
So, you've finally graduated.
First and Foremost, CONGRATULATIONS!!, you've finally done it.
3 years have come and gone by so quickly and you finally have your degree.
In July of this year i too graduated and have reached a point where even i can admit i am flustered. i find myself constantly worrying about whats happening next. if its not whether i want to study a masters, or start working straight away, i feeling a lot of pressure and i am sure i am not the only one.
its hard to transition from having a routine for the last three years (well in my case 4), to literally looking around wondering where and when to start.
Having a degree imposes expectations on you if its not from family, its from the whole pressure of everyone getting jobs very quickly all around you.
i have 2 great motivational steps to relieve some stress from the process.
your only human, take it one step at a time and do what is best for you.
these steps wont get you your dream job tomorrow but it will help to relieve stress and take some of that pressure off your back.
STEP 1
Take Your Time!!!!!!
Now, its only August. there are a few lucky individuals who have gained jobs rights after they graduate or even just before and the pressure can be a lot, But please do NOT stress yourself.
Everyone's success comes within their own time and sometimes things worth working for do not come easily for everyone.
So take a deep breath, pause, decide what exactly you want to do with your degree, after all no one else but you put in the work to receive it.
STEP 2
consider all options!!!

There are so many avenues out there or directions you can take in order to utilise your degree efficiently. starting a job straight away is not the only option and it is good to understand that.
sometimes people feel they need a brake from studying consistently for the past couple of years and that is totally fine also.
studying a masters or a second degree can also be beneficial to some.
i have decided to go straight into studying a masters course, due to the fact that i would like to go into academics.
there are so many options so do not feel pressured to make a decision straight away, just do whats best for you.
As a last note, remember that you are great, whatever decision you make for yourself is the right one for this moment. i am a strong believer in everything happens for a reason, and even if it doesn't work out the first time, try again, everything will fall into place.
